View full detailsMarvin has used several different multipoint lock systems throughout their production history, making it essential to identify your specific door and lock configuration before ordering replacement parts. From the early Trimco concealed rod systems to the current Amerock locks found on Ultimate doors, and the GU-to-shootbolt transition on Integrity models, MPLocks carries the hardware needed to restore your Marvin door's security and functionality. Understanding your door's manufacture date and lock style is the first step toward finding the correct replacement.
Marvin doors use distinct lock bodies depending on whether you have a single door, double French door setup, or sliding patio door. Active lock bodies include cylinder provisions and thumb turn operation, while passive locks for the inactive leaf of double doors work with concealed rods but without keyed entry. Most Ultimate inswing and outswing doors from 2000 to present use a 60mm backset with 92mm PZ handle spacing, accepting standard American 5-pin cylinders. Sliding door applications require specialized 3-hook lock bodies with different backset measurements.
Marvin's lock hardware has evolved significantly over the decades. Doors manufactured before 1999 often used Trimco locks with concealed rods that are now discontinued, while the 1990-1998 Essve hook locks require custom multipoint replacements. Integrity by Marvin doors saw a transition around 2007 from GU locks to the current shootbolt configuration—these are not interchangeable, so verifying your existing lock style is critical. The strike plates and cover plates in this collection are designed to match specific production periods and door swing directions.
When ordering replacement Marvin multipoint hardware, you'll need to know your backset measurement (typically 45mm or 60mm), the PZ or handle spacing (usually 92mm for Marvin doors), and whether your door swings in or out. For double door configurations, determine which leaf—active or passive—needs the replacement part. Faceplate dimensions and screw hole spacing should also match your existing cutout to ensure proper fit without door modifications.
