View full detailsPella doors have been manufactured with multipoint locking systems sourced from several different suppliers over the years, which can make finding the correct replacement part a challenge. MPLocks carries compatible lock assemblies, shootbolt extensions, and strike kits from the original equipment manufacturers that supplied Pella, including G-U/Ferco and Trilennium. Whether you need a complete lock mechanism or individual components like reversing gears and extensions, understanding your door's original configuration is the key to a successful repair.
Pella doors commonly feature either shootbolt or latch bolt locking mechanisms, and knowing which type you have determines which replacement parts will work. Shootbolt systems use metal rods that extend into the frame at the top and bottom of the door, while latch bolt systems use spring-loaded latches at multiple points. Check your existing lock's faceplate for manufacturer markings from G-U, Ferco, or Trilennium to help narrow down compatible replacements. The lock case itself will indicate whether you have a two-piece or three-piece assembly.
Before ordering, you will need several measurements from your existing hardware. Backset is the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the lock cylinder, typically 50mm or 60mm on Pella doors. PZ spacing measures the distance between the handle center and cylinder center, with 92mm being the most common specification. Overall door height matters too, as standard lock assemblies fit doors up to 81 inches, while taller doors require additional shootbolt extensions to reach the frame properly.
Multipoint locks for Pella doors are handed, meaning they are configured for either left or right hand operation based on which side the hinges are located. Standing outside looking at the door, if the hinges are on the right, you have a right-hand door. Most Trilennium locks ship configured for inswing applications and can be field-reversed for the opposite hand, but outswing doors require adjusting the panic release function before installation. Confirming your door's handing and swing direction prevents ordering errors and unnecessary returns.
