This comprehensive multipoint lock replacement kit is designed to replace a variety of discontinued multipoint locks from brands including Fuhr, Roto, and others that are no longer available. If your existing multipoint lock has failed or is no longer serviceable, this kit provides a complete solution with all the essential components needed for installation.

Notes

  • To lock door: Lift handle and then turn thumb turn or key to extend deadbolt
  • To unlock door: Turn thumb turn or key and then depress lever
  • Reversing latch: Insert a small screwdriver into the small hole in back of latch, push forward, twist latch, and release
  • The small mishanding latch must be depressed to operate lock - test operation BEFORE closing door

Installation - Cutting to Length

  • Lay the old lock and new lock side by side to determine length
  • The top shootbolt extension has serrated teeth; the middle extension has a receptacle (coupler) for the teeth
  • Extend the top bolt before cutting
  • With shootbolt extended (locked position), use a hacksaw to cut the same amount from the front (smooth side) and back side of the mechanism (serrated teeth)
  • Gap between serrated ends must be less than 3 teeth for proper engagement
  • Install cover plate to reinforce connection between middle and upper shootbolt extension
