Sentinel 3-Point Sliding Door Lock – 45mm, Stainless (40214)

This Sentinel multipoint sliding door lock features a 3-hook design for secure operation on sliding patio doors. The lock includes receptacles for all three hooks and is compatible with doors from Caradco, Jeld-Wen, Marvin, and other manufacturers.

The lock has a 1-3/4 inch (45mm) backset and an overall length of 40-15/16 inches (1040.1mm) with radius ends. The three hooks are spaced 16-7/8 inches (428.6mm) apart, and the lock body case measures 4-1/8 inches (104.8mm). Finished in stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance.

This lock uses 3 hooks; the center hook engages the lock case and pushes the plate back, allowing the thumb turn or key to secure the door
Before closing the door, test the lock functionality by inserting a screwdriver into the center lock position, pushing the plate back, and testing the operation
Door must be level for proper operation. Check by closing the door and observing the daylight gap between the door panel and jamb—it should be consistent from top to bottom. If not, adjust the rollers
When installing a new handleset, if the key turns hard after tightening screws, loosen them and try again. If it turns easily when loose, the flat tailpiece from the key and thumbturn are hitting—they need a small space between them to work properly
