This comprehensive multipoint lock replacement kit is designed to replace a variety of discontinued multipoint locks from brands including Fuhr, Roto, and others that are no longer available. If your existing multipoint lock has failed or parts are no longer manufactured, this kit provides a complete solution to restore your door's security and functionality.

Notes

  • To lock: Lift handle to extend upper and lower bolts, then turn thumbturn to secure in locked position
  • To unlock: Turn thumbturn or key and depress lever
  • The small mishanding latch must be depressed to operate the lock – test operation before closing door
  • Latch handing can be reversed by inserting a small screwdriver into the hole on the back of the latch, pushing forward, twisting, and releasing

Installation: Cutting to Length

  • Lay the old lock and new lock side by side to determine proper length
  • The top shootbolt extension has serrated teeth; the middle extension has a receptacle (coupler) for the teeth
  • Mark the top extension for proper length
  • Extend the top bolt before cutting
  • With shootbolt extended (locked position), use a hacksaw to cut equal amounts from the front (smooth side) and back side (serrated teeth) of the top extension
  • Ensure as many teeth fit into the receptacle as possible – gap between serrated ends must be less than 3 teeth
  • Install cover plate to reinforce connection between middle and upper shootbolt extension
