How to Rehand an Ashland Multipoint Lock on Marvin Doors (Video Guide)

In this short tutorial, we’ll show you how to rehand an Ashland lock, commonly used on Marvin doors. Rehanding allows you to change the lock from left-hand to right-hand (or vice versa) so it matches the way your door swings.

Steps to rehand the lock:

    1. Remove the Ashland lock from the door.
    2. Locate the latch release on the face of the lock.
    3. Use a screwdriver to pull the latch release so the latch pops out.
    4. Rotate the latch to match the correct handing (left-hand or right-hand) for your door.
    5. Push the latch back into the lock until it’s fully seated and secure.

Watch the video to see each step demonstrated clearly and up close.
