Flat Cam Locking Device

A flat cam locking device is a less common type of locking point found on some multipoint locks. Instead of extending outward like a hook or rolling like a roller, a flat cam slides along the faceplate to engage with a matching strike in the frame.

Flat cams are most often seen on older or brand-specific systems and are frequently mistaken for rollers or tongues.
