Premiere P3000 Active Gearbox – Lower/Spring Latch (P3000-45LT)

This is the lower active gearbox for the Premiere P3000 multipoint lock system. The P3000 uses a two-gearbox design: one upper gearbox controls the deadbolt, and this lower gearbox controls the spring latch. This listing is for the spring latch gearbox only – no additional parts are included.

The P3000 is sometimes called a "Babysitter lock" because the deadbolt operates independently without engaging the upper or lower shoot bolts. This makes it much easier for guests, children, or anyone unfamiliar with multipoint locks to lock and unlock the door without the full multipoint engagement sequence.

How to Operate the P3000 Lock

This lock operates differently than most multipoint locks:

  • To Lock: Throw the deadbolt first, then lift the handle to engage the auxiliary locks
  • To Unlock: Retract the deadbolt and push the lever down to open
