This Lockmaster lock case is designed specifically for inactive or passive (slave) multipoint door applications. It serves as a replacement gearbox for doors where the lock body needs to be updated without replacing the entire multipoint system.

The lock case features a double spindle configuration with 62mm and 92mm centers, accommodating various handle setups. With a 35mm backset and 5/16-inch (8mm) spindle diameter, this gearbox is engineered for precise compatibility with existing multipoint door hardware.

Why do I need handles with a spring cassette for this lock case?

This lock case has an unsprung double spindle gearbox, meaning it doesn't have internal springs to return the handles to position. Without sprung handles, your door handles will droop after use.

Does this lock case include a faceplate?

No, this is a lock case only. It does not include a faceplate, latch, or deadbolt. You will need to use your existing faceplate or purchase one separately.
