Hoppe HLS9000 Multipoint Lock Case (HoppeLC)

This is a replacement lock case for the Hoppe HLS9000 multipoint lock system. It is the center gearbox portion of the lock only, designed to be installed between your existing upper and lower faceplate extensions when the original case has failed.

The case is offered in four backset sizes and two deadbolt throw lengths so you can match the configuration of the lock you are replacing. Before ordering, confirm your current backset, deadbolt throw, and overall lock layout.

Backset and deadbolt throw measurements are taken from the faceplate. Keep in mind that the lock case alone does not include the 2 millimeter faceplate, so reference photos may look slightly different from a complete lock assembly.

Notes

This item can be installed on both 16mm and 20mm faceplate widths due to the way the item attaches to upper and lower assemblies.
Reuse your existing upper and lower faceplate extensions.
Step-by-step replacement: remove the existing lock case from the upper and lower extensions, attach the lower extension to the new case, then attach the upper extension.
Reinstall the multipoint assembly in the door with the initial screws to hold it in place.
Test the lock by pushing in the mis-handing latch to operate it. Once confirmed working, finish installing the remaining screws snug, but not over tightened.
Install the handle set and key cylinder, then test again before closing the door to confirm all locking points extend and retract properly.
If the spring latch faces the wrong direction, pull it out and spin it around. Pliers may be needed.

What does PZ mean and what is the PZ for this lock case?

PZ is the distance from the center of the handle spindle to the center of the key cylinder. The Hoppe HLS9000 uses a 92mm (3-5/8 inch) PZ.

How do I measure my backset?

Measure from the edge of the door (the faceplate) to the center of the handle spindle hole. The HLS9000 case is offered in 35mm, 45mm, 60mm, and 70mm backsets.

Can the latch handing be reversed?

Yes. If the spring latch faces the wrong way, pull it out, spin it around, and reinsert it. Pliers may be needed to remove it.
