ESSVE Multipoint Lock Kit – 6'5" Door (4990616-KIT)

This multipoint lock replacement kit is designed for 6 feet 5 inch doors originally equipped with ESSVE locks. The kit provides a complete solution for replacing worn or damaged multipoint locking systems, featuring a 60mm backset and 92mm PZ configuration with a 20mm faceplate width.

The original ESSVE lock measured 68 inches overall with radius ends, a 55mm backset, and hook positions at 26-3/4 inches (bottom) and 33-1/2 inches (top). This replacement kit uses square ends instead of radius ends and can be trimmed to fit door panel heights up to 81-1/8 inches. The gearbox will shift approximately 3/16 inch due to the backset change from 55mm to 60mm, but new trim will cover any exposed holes.

Notes

Replacement kit has square ends; original had radius ends
Hook lock boxes fit into existing mortised grooves, but strike plate holes may need slight enlargement
Atrium Doors: Original Euro cylinder version trim will NOT work; new trim required
Marvin / Pease Doors: Original American version trim with 6-3/8 inch screw spacing will work with minor modification to the cylinder hole (may need slight enlargement with a rasp)
Some Pease doors have different bore hole spacing with 2-3/8 inch wide trim – contact us if this applies
Anti-slam / mishandling latch must be pushed in to operate lock
Latch handing can be reversed by extending the deadbolt, pulling out the spring latch, and rotating accordingly

Will my original handleset trim work with this replacement kit?

For Marvin and Pease doors with American cylinder locks and 6-3/8 inch screw spacing, the original trim will work with minor modifications. For Atrium doors with Euro cylinder trim, new trim is required.

Why does the replacement have a different backset than my original lock?

The original ESSVE lock had a 55mm backset, but the replacement uses a 60mm backset. This causes the gearbox to shift approximately 3/16 inch, which new trim will cover.

Can I trim this lock to fit my door?
