Winkhaus Multipoint Lock Replacement – 76-1/4" Double Door (49906-2045H-221-EC)

This custom-made multipoint lock system is designed as a direct replacement for Winkhaus multipoint locks on 76-1/4 inch tall double doors. The set includes hardware for both the active and passive door panels, providing a complete locking solution for your double door configuration.

The active door features a 3-point hook lock system, while the passive door uses a 2-point shootbolt lock. This combination ensures secure engagement at multiple points along the door frame for enhanced security and weather sealing.

This lock comes standard with a Euro Profile cylinder. If you require an American cylinder version, please contact our office before ordering to arrange for the correct configuration.

• Handle Height: 38.559 inches (979.4mm)

Notes

• This lock will only fit doors that are exactly 76-1/4 inches tall – it cannot be modified for other door heights
• The shootbolts on the passive door are built into the upper extension and cannot be adjusted
• Original Winkhaus top hook position was 27.6 inches, now changed to 24.413 inches with new handle height
• Original Winkhaus bottom hook position was 27.2 inches, now changed to 30.429 inches with new handle height
• Each door assembly consists of 2 pieces (upper and lower)
• When connecting upper and lower parts, align the small tab on the lower piece into the upper extension
• Use T-20 Torx head screws with 12-13 pounds of torque when attaching upper extension to lower assembly
• Hand tighten installation screws – do not over tighten or lock may not function properly
• Test the lock with the door open by pushing in the small mishanding latch

Lock Operation

• To change handing/latch reversal: Push in the small spring latch (mid-handing latch), lift lever to extend deadbolt, pull spring latch out and rotate to correct position, then check function before closing door
• To lock: Lift the handle to extend deadbolt and hooks, then turn thumb turn or key to secure
• To unlock: Turn thumb turn or key to unlocked position and push down on lever
