Hoppe Inactive Multipoint Lock Kit – 35/92, 93" Door (4990239-KIT)

This Hoppe multipoint lock kit is designed to replace the inactive FUHR lock found in French Caradco doors. The kit is specifically configured for 93-inch inactive doors and requires trimming during installation to achieve proper fit and handle height.

The lock features a 35mm backset and 92mm PZ (handle center to cylinder center). The handle height is adjustable and must be set to 35-1/2 inches to properly replace the original Caradco lock.

Notes

  • CAUTION: Lock will be hot after trimming; do not use electric saw as lock will discolor and can warp
  • Make sure you install the correct shootbolt tip on the correct end (longer tip on top, shorter on bottom)

Why does this lock kit require trimming?

The kit is designed to be adjustable for Caradco door replacement. You must trim the bottom shootbolt by approximately 2-5/8 inches and the top shootbolt by approximately 5-1/2 inches to fit a 93-inch inactive door and position the handle at 35-1/2 inches.

Can I use an electric saw to trim the shootbolts?

No, do not use an electric saw. The lock will become hot during cutting, which can cause discoloration and warping. Use a manual cutting method instead.

What is the difference between the two shootbolt tips in the kit?

The kit includes a longer shootbolt tip for the top and a shorter shootbolt tip for the bottom. Make sure to install each tip on the correct end of the lock.
