Fuhr 2 Roller Multipoint Lock – 37" Handle Height (499010299)

This Fuhr 2 roller automatic multipoint lock was designed for use on SNE, Vetter, and Crestline doors. Featuring a 1-3/8 inch (35mm) backset and 5/8 inch (16mm) faceplate width, this lock provides automatic locking when the door is closed. The handle height measures 37 inches from the bottom of the lock.

The bottom roller is positioned 29.53 inches down from the handle, while the top roller sits 28.74 inches up from the handle. The deadbolt throw measures 25/32 inch (20mm), and the overall lock length is approximately 77 inches, though this may vary depending on the specific door and manufacturer.

Replacement Options

4990200 - Hoppe roller-style multipoint lock: Easiest replacement option. Same roller positions as original Fuhr lock, so roller strikes will not need to be moved. Deadbolt strike will need to be moved or modified. Fits locks from 67.91 inches to 78.75 inches and may need trimming with a hacksaw.
4990275 - Hoppe roller/shootbolt multipoint lock: Same bottom roller position as original. Top roller strike will be left unused. Deadbolt strike will need to be moved or modified. Fits locks from 76.61 inches to 80.55 inches and may need trimming. Requires drilling a hole for socket strike in top of door jamb.

Both replacement kits are designed for 36 inch handle height. When used as a replacement for this 37 inch Fuhr lock, the metal faceplate will be 1 inch shorter, leaving a gap at the bottom of the door panel. This gap can usually be filled with the cutoff from the top extension. Both replacements operate manually and will not automatically lock when the door is closed like the original Fuhr lock.

Two Hoppe replacement kits are available: the 4990200 roller-style lock (easiest replacement with matching roller positions) or the 4990275 roller/shootbolt lock. Both require some modifications to the door jamb strikes.

No, both Hoppe replacement options operate manually. The automatic locking feature of the original Fuhr lock is not available with these replacements.
