Hoppe HLS7 Tongue Active Gear – 45/92, LH (2661110)

This Hoppe HLS7 Tongue Active Gear is the bottom half of a multipoint lock system designed for left-hand doors. The HLS 7 series features one-motion operation where turning the handle retracts the deadbolt, providing convenient egress.

This active gear includes a panic release function on the interior side. To exit a locked door from inside, simply push down on the lever and both the deadbolt and latch will retract simultaneously. The thumbturn automatically rotates back to the vertical position.

Spindle hub has a blocker and uses 1/2 spindles attached to handleset
This is the bottom half of the multipoint lock system – top extension is determined by door height and tongue position
The half-moon slot next to the handle hub must have the nub in the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position (depending on the side of the gear box). The handleset with spring assist naturally moves this to the proper position when installed

Operation of Lock

To Lock Door: Turn thumbturn to horizontal position or key to locked position, then lift handle and deadbolt will extend (outside is locked).

To Unlock from Inside: Depress lever – latch and deadbolt will retract. Thumbturn rotates back to vertical position automatically.

To Unlock from Outside: Insert key and turn, then depress lever to open door.
