GU Inactive Multipoint Shootbolt – 50/92 (6-UI638-50-0-FG)

This GU Europa Series inactive multipoint lock shootbolt assembly is designed for passive doors in double-door configurations. The lock features an adjustable handle height with a standard setting of 35 inches (889mm), allowing for flexible installation to match your existing door setup.

With a 2-inch (50mm) backset and 3-5/8 inch (92mm) PZ spacing, this 2-point shootbolt lock accepts an American cylinder with a flat tailpiece. The 5/8-inch (16mm) wide faceplate has a silver Ferguard finish for durability and corrosion resistance. The overall length measures 72.047 inches (1830mm).

This lock does not have a receptacle for a spring latch and must be used with an astragal configuration
The active door deadbolt enters a receiving hole in the face of this inactive lock, but only when the inactive handles have been lifted and shootbolts engaged
When handles are turned up and shootbolts engaged, the mechanism in the receiver hole lifts up to allow the deadbolt to fit inside
Unless the passive door is shut and shootbolts engaged, the active door cannot be locked
For doors over 81-1/2 inches, use middle extension G-16790-05-0-1

This is the main assembly only. You will need to purchase the top shootbolt (G-20416-00-0-1) and bottom shootbolt (G-20415-00-0-1) separately. For doors over 81-1/2 inches, you may also need the middle extension (G-16790-05-0-1).

How does this inactive lock work with the active door?

When the passive door handles are lifted and shootbolts engaged, a mechanism in the receiver hole lifts up to accept the active door's deadbolt. The active door cannot be locked unless the passive door is closed with shootbolts engaged.

What cylinder type does this lock use?

This lock accepts an American cylinder with a flat tailpiece. The key position is below the handle.
