Ashland Sentinel Swing Passive Gearbox (4991331)

This Ashland passive (PS3) center gearbox is designed for use in double door multipoint systems without an astragal between panels. As the center section of the Sentinel Swing Multipoint XP25 2-point passive lock with shootbolts, this receiver gearbox contains receptacles for both the deadbolt and spring latch from the active door panel.

The passive gearbox features a round hole rather than a slot for a tailpiece, and the corresponding handle trim on the passive side does not include a thumbturn. When the deadbolt from the active door engages the receptacle on this passive lock, it prevents the handles from moving, securing both door panels.
