View full detailsSingle point mortise locks serve a specific role in door security—providing a streamlined locking solution where full multipoint hardware isn't required or practical. MPLocks carries HOPPE's HLS9000-series single point locks, which feature 92mm PZ spacing for Euro-profile cylinder compatibility. These locks are frequently used by door manufacturers including Caradco, Jeld-Wen, Norco, WeatherShield, and Kolbe & Kolbe, making them a trusted choice for both original equipment and replacement applications. Important note: these single point locks cannot be used as repair parts for multipoint lock systems, and opening the lock case will void the warranty.
HOPPE's current single point locks incorporate rotation limiter technology, which keeps the lever handle fixed in place once the door is locked. This prevents unauthorized handle manipulation from the exterior and provides a clear visual indicator that the door is secured. Unlike older designs where the handle moves freely regardless of lock status, the rotation limiter gives homeowners and building managers confidence that their entry points are properly secured when the deadbolt is engaged.
Door construction varies significantly between manufacturers and building styles, which is why HOPPE offers single point locks in multiple configurations. Available backsets include 35mm (1-3/8 inch), 45mm (1-3/4 inch), 60mm (2-3/8 inch), and 70mm (2-3/4 inch) to match your existing door preparation. Deadbolt throw options include both 1/2 inch (14mm) and 1 inch (25mm) versions, allowing you to match your strike plate depth and security requirements.
To find the right replacement, measure your existing lock's backset (from the edge of the door to the center of the cylinder hole) and PZ spacing (from cylinder center to handle spindle center). HOPPE single point locks use 92mm PZ as standard. Also check your faceplate width—most models feature a 16mm (5/8 inch) stainless steel faceplate, though some HLS9350 series locks use a wider 22mm (7/8 inch) faceplate. Confirming these measurements before ordering ensures a proper fit without door modifications.
