This Hoppe HLS 7 Series active gear is the bottom half of a multipoint lock system, featuring a right-handed shootbolt configuration. Designed with a 45mm backset and 92mm PZ (handle center to cylinder center), this gear provides reliable security for multipoint door applications.

The lock includes a 25.4mm (1 inch) deadbolt throw and is configured for a 36-inch handle height. The 16mm faceplate width ensures compatibility with standard multipoint door preparations.

  • Features a panic release function for egress – one side is always locked while the other has the panic function
  • The spring latch can be pulled out to reverse handing if the panic function is on the wrong side
  • Door handing is determined from the exterior: hinges on the left = left-hand door, hinges on the right = right-hand door
  • The half-moon slot next to the handle hub must have the nub in the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position for proper operation

How do I determine if I need a right-hand or left-hand lock?

Door handing is determined from the exterior (outside) of the door. If the hinges are on the right when viewed from outside, you have a right-hand door and need a right-hand lock.

Can I reverse the panic function if it's on the wrong side?

Yes, the spring latch can be pulled out to reverse the panic function. Refer to the included directions for the proper procedure.

What additional parts do I need for a complete multipoint lock system?

This is the bottom half of the multipoint lock system. You will also need a top extension, which is determined by your door height.
