Hoppe HLS7 Swing Hook Lower Gear – 45/92, RH (2716643)

This Hoppe HLS7 Swing Hook assembly is the lower active gear component for multipoint lock systems. Designed with a 45mm (1-3/4 inch) backset and 92mm (3-5/8 inch) PZ spacing, this right-hand gear features a bottom hook positioned at 29.65 inches (753mm) from the handle center.

The lock includes a panic release function for safe egress. From the inside, simply push down on the lever to retract the deadbolt, hook, and latch simultaneously. The American cylinder version features key-above configuration with a 1-inch (25.4mm) deadbolt throw.

This is the bottom assembly only and represents half of a complete multipoint lock system. The top extension must be selected based on your door height.

  • The half-moon slot next to the handle hub must have the nub in the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position for proper gear operation

No, this is the lower active gear assembly only. You will need to purchase a top extension separately based on your door height to complete the multipoint lock system.

Can I change the handing on this lock?

Yes, the handing can be field changed. The spring latch can be pulled out with pliers to reverse for inswing or outswing, and the panic function side can also be changed following the directions provided.

How does the panic release function work?

From the inside, simply push down on the lever and the deadbolt, hook, and latch will all retract simultaneously, allowing you to exit the locked door.
