Hoppe HLS7 Active Gear – 45/92, LH, 24.41" Tongue (2661101)

This Hoppe HLS7 16mm Active Gear is the lower portion of a multipoint lock system designed for left hand doors. The HLS 7 series features a one-motion operation where turning the handle retracts the deadbolt, providing convenient egress.

This active gear has a 45mm backset and 92mm PZ measurement, with the handle height at 36 inches and tongue positioned at 24.41 inches. The spindle hub measures 5/16 inches in diameter and includes a blocker, using 1/2 spindles that attach to your handle set.

A key feature of this lock is the panic release function on the inside. When exiting a locked door from the interior, simply push down on the lever and both the deadbolt and latch will retract simultaneously. This makes it suitable for applications requiring emergency egress.

How do I lock and unlock this multipoint lock?

To lock: turn the thumbturn horizontal or key to locked position, then lift the handle to extend the deadbolt. To unlock from inside: push down on the lever and both latch and deadbolt retract. To unlock from outside: insert key, turn, then depress the lever.

Can I change the handing on this lock?

Yes, the handing can be changed if needed. The spring latch can be pulled out to reverse the panic function to the opposite side of the lock.

What additional parts do I need for a complete multipoint lock system?

This is the bottom half of the multipoint lock system. You will need a top extension, which is determined by your door height and tongue position.
