Roto Multipoint Lock Gear Assembly – 28mm Backset, Pin Connection (40234-28)

This Roto multipoint lock gear assembly is the 2nd generation gear box design featuring a 15-3/4 inch (400mm) faceplate with pin (stud) connections for attaching to upper and lower assemblies. It is designed for use with roller and tongue version multipoint locks that utilize pin connections.

This gear assembly has a 1-1/8 inch (28mm) backset and features a deadbolt that extends when you lift the handle. The deadbolt position on this model is approximately 1/8 inch lower than the older 13-3/8 inch faceplate style.

This lock will NOT replace the old style with the 13-3/8 inch faceplate used on earlier multipoint locks

The strike plate may need to be lowered or replaced with modification of 23/32 inch to align with the latch and deadbolt

To Lock: Lift handle and deadbolt will extend. Turn key or thumb turn to lock in position.
To Unlock: Turn thumb turn or key, and depress the lever to open.

This gear assembly only works with 15-3/4 inch faceplate models that use pin connections. It will not work with the older 13-3/8 inch faceplate style or the 15-3/4 inch models with serrated teeth connections.
