Hoppe HLS 7 Multipoint Lock – 45mm, RH (2716619)

This Hoppe HLS 7 multipoint lock body features a tongue version design with a 1-3/4 inch (45mm) backset. The HLS 7 series is known for its one-motion operation, where a single turn of the handle retracts the deadbolt for convenient egress.

This lock is configured for right-hand doors, though the handing can be changed if needed. The spindle hub measures 5/16 inch (8mm) in diameter and includes a blocker that uses 1/2 spindles attached to the handleset. The handle height is 36 inches (914.4mm).

Panic Release Function

This multipoint lock includes a panic release function on the inside. From inside a locked door, simply push down on the lever and both the deadbolt and latch will retract simultaneously, allowing quick exit in emergency situations.

Operation of Lock

To Lock Door:

  • Turn thumb turn to horizontal position or key to locked position
  • Lift handle and deadbolt will extend (outside is locked)

To Unlock Door from Inside:

  • Depress lever – latch and deadbolt will retract
  • Thumbturn rotates back to vertical position automatically

To Unlock Door from Outside:

  • Insert key and turn
  • Depress lever to open door

Notes

  • This is the bottom half of the multipoint lock system – the top extension is determined by door height and tongue position
  • The half-moon slot next to the handle hub must have the nub in the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position (depending on the side of the gear box). The handleset with spring assist naturally moves this to the proper position when installed in the door
  • All HLS 7 locks have the same backsets and are handed for left or right hand doors
