This Fuhr 2-roller manual multipoint lock with 37-inch handle height has been discontinued. The lock features a 1-3/8 inch (35mm) backset, 5/8 inch (16mm) faceplate width, and 25/32 inch (20mm) deadbolt throw. The bottom roller is positioned 29.53 inches down from the handle, while the top roller sits 28.74 inches up from the handle. Overall length is approximately 77 inches, though this varies depending on the specific door and manufacturer.

Replacement Options

Two replacement kits are available for this discontinued Fuhr lock:

Option 1: 4990200 – Hoppe Roller-Style Multipoint Lock
This is the easiest replacement option. The kit has the same roller positions as the original Fuhr lock, so roller strikes will not need to be moved. The deadbolt strike will need to be moved up or down, or modified to fit the new deadbolt and spring latch. The kit fits locks from 67.91 inches to 78.75 inches and will likely need to be trimmed with a hacksaw to fit your door.

Option 2: 4990275 – Hoppe Roller/Shootbolt Multipoint Lock
This kit has the same bottom roller position as the original Fuhr lock. The top roller strike will be left unused. The deadbolt strike will need to be moved up or down, or modified to fit the new deadbolt and spring latch. The kit fits locks from 76.61 inches to 80.55 inches and will likely need to be trimmed with a hacksaw. A hole for the socket strike will need to be drilled in the top of the door jamb.

Notes

• Both replacement kits are designed for 36-inch handle height. When used as a replacement for this 37-inch Fuhr lock, the metal faceplate of the Hoppe replacement will be 1 inch shorter, leaving a gap at the bottom of the door panel.
• This gap can usually be filled with the cutoff from the top extension, if desired.
