Atrium ESSVE Multipoint Lock – 45/92 (499051699)

This is the original Atrium ESSVE multipoint lock with an overall length of 81 inches and radius ends. This lock features a 1-3/4 inch (45mm) backset and 3-5/8 inch (92mm) PZ measurement with a European style cylinder.

This product has been discontinued. The replacement is part number 4990618. The replacement kit has square ends instead of radius ends and can be trimmed to fit your door panel height requirements up to 81-1/8 inches.

Replacement Notes

When installing the replacement lock (4990618), be aware of the following:

• The gear and hook lock boxes will fit into the existing mortised groove
• Hook positions differ slightly – bottom hook moves from 26-3/4 inches to 26 inches, top hook moves from 46-3/8 inches to 45-3/4 inches
• Strike plate holes may need to be slightly enlarged to accommodate the new hook positions

Trim Compatibility

Atrium Doors: The original handle set trim for Atrium doors with Euro Cylinder will not work with the replacement lock. New trim is required.

Marvin/Pease Doors: Original handle set trim for Marvin, Pease, and other doors with American version locks have installation screw hole spacing of 6-3/8 inches. This trim will work with minor modifications – the lock body cylinder hole where the bottom screw passes through may need to be slightly enlarged with a rasp.

Some Pease doors had different bore hole spacing with handle set trim measuring 2-3/8 inches wide. Contact us if this applies to your door.

Lock Operation

This lock features an anti-slam/mishandling latch that must be pushed in to operate the lock.

• To Lock: Lift the handle to extend the deadbolt and other locking positions, then turn the thumb-turn to secure in the locked position
• To Unlock: Turn the thumb-turn or key to the unlocked position and push down on the lever
• Reverse Latch Handing: Extend the deadbolt first, then pull out the spring latch and rotate accordingly
