Hoppe HLS 2000 multipoint lock hardware is a grip handle-compatible system designed for residential entry doors up to 10 feet tall. This series features tongue-style locking points with a 2-3/8 inch (60mm) backset and works exclusively with HLS 2000 grip handlesets—the same system used by Therma-Tru doors. Whether you're replacing worn components or completing a new construction project, these parts provide reliable three-point security with single-action operation.

View full detailsThe Hoppe HLS 2000 system represents a specialized approach to multipoint door security, pairing traditional grip-style entrance handles with a dedicated tongue lock mechanism. Originally specified by Therma-Tru and other quality door manufacturers, this hardware delivers three-point locking with a single turn of the key or thumbturn. MPLocks stocks the complete range of HLS 2000 components, from lower lock assemblies and upper extensions to strike plate packs and handleset trim, making it easier to find exact replacements for this distinctive system.
Unlike other Hoppe multipoint series, the HLS 2000 is engineered specifically for grip handle configurations where an exterior pull handle pairs with an interior lever. This design is common on upscale entry doors where the grip handle provides both a bold aesthetic and comfortable operation. The system uses a 92mm PZ spacing (handle center to cylinder center) and accommodates standard 1-3/4 inch door thicknesses. Because the HLS 2000 handlesets and lock assemblies are not interchangeable with other Hoppe series, identifying your existing hardware correctly is essential for successful replacement.
One of the standout features of the HLS 2000 system is its ability to work with oversized entry doors. Upper extensions are available in multiple lengths—from 35 inches to over 66 inches—allowing proper tongue placement for doors ranging from approximately 70 inches to 120 inches in height. This makes the HLS 2000 ideal for grand entryways, custom homes, and commercial applications where standard multipoint hardware falls short. Each extension features stainless steel construction for long-term durability and corrosion resistance.
When replacing an HLS 2000 upper extension, the most important measurement is your door height and the desired tongue position relative to the frame strike. The lower assembly with gearbox is sold separately and establishes the handle height at approximately 36 inches from the floor. From there, you'll select an upper extension that positions the top tongue appropriately for your door's overall height. Measure from the bottom of your existing extension to the center of the top tongue to match replacement parts accurately, and verify your door falls within the specified height range for each extension option.
