This GU Eagle New Breed multipoint lock kit is designed for 8-foot doors and features an automatic 3-point locking system. The upper and lower latch bolts automatically engage when the door is closed, providing convenient security without lifting the handle.

This lock body style is the "New Breed" configuration with the key cylinder positioned above the handle. The kit includes the complete faceplate assembly measuring 93-1/8 inches (2366mm) in length with a 5/8-inch (16mm) width. The handle height is set at 35 inches (889mm) from the bottom of the faceplate.

The faceplate is croppable to accommodate different door sizes. The bottom can be cut down up to 9-1/2 inches and the top can be cut down up to 13-1/2 inches.

How does the automatic latch function work on this lock?

When the door closes, the top and bottom latch bolts automatically extend to hold the door in place. However, the door is not fully locked until you turn the thumb turn or key to engage the deadbolt.

Can I change the handing on this multipoint lock?

Yes, the lock can be rehanded. For the center latch, remove the 3 T-25 star screws and flip the latch. For the top and bottom latches, insert a 3/16 hex screwdriver into the hole on the backside, unscrew counterclockwise, remove, spin around, and reattach.

Can this lock be cut down for a shorter door?

Yes, the faceplate is croppable. The bottom can be cut down up to 9-1/2 inches and the top can be cut down up to 13-1/2 inches to fit shorter doors.
